I wanted to create a SharePoint project using The MVC pattern of VS2019 but I couldn't find App for SharePoint 2013 option in Visual studio although I have already installed Office / SharePoint Development workload!

This is the one below, I can't find it, but I have Office / SharePoint installed.

Why I am missing the SharePoint Apps section / App for SharePoint 2013 in Visual Studio 2019?

The Apps option is deleted in VS 2019, you have to use VS 2015 or VS 2013 to can find this option! instead , try to use Add-Ins or AppForSharePointOnlineWebToolkit https://www.nuget.org/packages/AppForSharePointOnlineWebToolkit/

Based on your question title, you are missing Office / SharePoint Development template in Visual Studio 2019, which means the Microsoft Office Developer Tools is not currently installed.

How to install the Microsoft Office Developer Tools in Visual Studio 2019?

To avoid the missing Office / SharePoint Development template in Visual Studio 2019 issue, you have to do the following:

  1. Open Visual Studio 2019 Installer.
  2. Click on “Modify“.
  3. In the New Installation Experience, Specifically in the Workloads Tab.
  4. Search for Office / SharePoint Development, then click on Install.

  5. Wait a moment until the installation is finished.
  6. Once the installation is finished, click on the “Launch” button to open Visual Studio 2019.
  7. The Office / SharePoint template should be now listed in the installed templates in Visual Studio 2019.

Note: If you already have installed Office/SharePoint Development, and you still can't find Office/SharePoint Template in Visual Studio 2019, In this case, I would suggest uninstalling Office/Sharepoint development and reinstalling it again with the same above steps. Missing App for SharePoint 2013 option in Visual Studio 2019?

Regarding the second issue in your question body, you mentioned, you can't find the App for SharePoint 2013 in Visual Studio 2019 although you have installed the Office/SharePoint template!

Actually, you should first be aware that Microsoft has changed the name App for SharePoint to SharePoint Add-ins.

  • A SharePoint Add-in is a self-contained piece of functionality that extends the capabilities of SharePoint websites to solve a well-defined business problem.
  • There are two basic kinds of SharePoint Add-ins:
    1. SharePoint-hosted and
    2. SharePoint provider-hosted.
