I have Windows 10, and trying to update it to Windows 11. but I got "Setup needs Space to Update" We can't install the latest Windows 11 features and security improvements on your PC due to low disk space.

The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker, Choose a different drive and try again.

The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with bitlockerI don't have other drives, so How can I turn off Blocker to avoid this error "The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker".

Solving: The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker

To solve this error "The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker", you have to Turn Off BitLocker on this Drive through "Control Panel" > "BitLocker Drive Encryption" By doing the following:

Turn Off BitLocker Step by Step

  1. Click "Start" > "Control Panel".
    Open Control Panel
  2. Search for "BitLocker Drive Encryption".

  3. Look for the Drive that you would like to turn off the BitLocker, in my case it was, "D" Drive, then click on "Turn Off BitLocker".

  4. Confirm that you need to decrypt this drive to can install Windows 11.

  5. Once, you click "Turn Off BitLocker" button, you will get a notification for decrypting your drive.

  6. And at the "BitLocker Drive Encryption", you will notice that the Drive is now Decrypting.

  7. Wait till the Drive decrypted successfully ,and the "Turn On" option is shown as stated below.

  8. Go back to change your drive to another drive, then select back the decrypted drive as shown in your screen.
  9. Great, you will note that the Windows 11 wizard is proceed to the next step, and you can now install the new Windows 11 features and security improvements without getting "The drive you're trying to use is encrypted with BitLocker".
