App management shared service proxy is not installed SharePoint 2016

Question

I am using SharePoint Designer 2013 with SharePoint 2016 to create a SharePoint workflow.

I can create and save a sharepoint workflow with SharePoint Designer 2013 without any problem but when I clicked publish, I encountered this error.

Errors were found when compiling workflow, the workflow files were saved but cannot be run
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: App management shared service proxy is not installed

How I can solve this issue?

Error App management shared service proxy is not installed

• First of all, you should be aware of the App management Service is a mandatory prerequisite for SharePoint Workflow Manager, so you should first make sure that it's already installed and configured properly as mentioned at App Management Shared Service Proxy is not installed in SharePoint 2016 / 2013.

  

• If the App Management service is already installed and configured on your farm, so this issue may occur if it's stopped or not working properly.
  In this case, you will need to check the App Management service status and try to start it, if it was stopped! To check App management shared service proxy status and learn how you can start it, please check, Start App Management Service Application Proxy

  

• If the "App management shared service proxy is not installed" still exists, try to check other causes for this issue at App Management Shared Service Proxy is not installed in SharePoint 2016, also you should check your workflow manager configuration as mentioned at Workflow Manager Health Checklist for SharePoint 2019.
