On Jan 27, 2020, Microsoft announced new updates to DTrace on Windows.

On  Jan,7,2020, the first cumulative update for SQL Server 2019 RTM has been released.

On Jan, 7,2020, Microsoft announced that the SQL Server 2019 package native is available to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 ecosystem.

Kerberos Configuration Manager for SQL Server

It is a diagnostic tool that helps you to investigate and troubleshoot related Kerberos connectivity issues for

  • SQL Server,
  • SQL Server Reporting Services, and 
  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). 

It collects information about

  • Operating system,
  • SQL Server instances,
  • Installed listeners of "Always On Availability Group".
  • List all Service Principal Name (SPN) and delegation configurations on the server.
  • Identify and fix potential problems in SPNs and delegations.

You can download the Kerberos Configuration Manager for SQL Server (v4.2) that released on Jan 17, 2020.

SQL Server Migration Assistant

It's a SQL Server tool that helps you to automate database migration to SQL Server from

  • Microsoft Access, 
  • MySQL,
  • DB2,
  • Oracle,
  • SAP ASE.

On Jan 21, 2020, Microsoft announced a new release (v8.6) for SQL Server Migration Assistant.
