Welcome to my new Power BI session on Small Multiples in Power BI. “Small Multiples”- a new feature rolled out during December 2020 Power BI Desktop Update. Small Multiples is available as a Preview feature at this moment. This is a very cool feature we can use with our stacked bar and column charts, clustered bar, and column charts, line charts, and area charts. Small multiples, or trellising - splits a visual into multiple versions of itself, presented side-by-side, with its data partitioned across these versions by a chosen dimension. Small multiples simply split the original visual into multiple versions.
During this session, we will be talking about every single aspect of the Small Multiples feature in detail. First, we will enable the Preview feature for Small Multiples. Then we took real-life example to represent data of confirmed and recovered cases of different state of a country. We talk about the interaction behavior as well as formatting properties for Small Multiples and at last, we will be discussing its roadmap and limitations.
